3VE has one very important rule: you own your domain. There are quite a few reasons why we want you to own your domain – namely being: it’s yours. You’ve used that domain since your company first got on the internet and you’ll use that domain long after your marketing efforts are underway.
Why do we have to say this?
A popular trend that some companies still follow is to lease you a domain name, but not allow you to keep it unless you pay them lots of money. Who wants that kind of relationship? Not 3VE, that’s for sure.
And why should you own it?
This was popular with companies like Yellow Pages because they could easily make a lot of money off their domains. Well for 3VE, that’s just silly. It costs $11.00 per year (from GoDaddy) for a normal .com domain. That $11 allows you to have professional email addresses and a place for users to visit your company’s website. There’s no need for a “free” company-website.wix.squarespace.net domain when you can have your own domain name for so cheap.
